#OhioFirst Week in Review
November 12, 2021
This week, Matt paid tribute to the nearly 850,000 veterans that call Ohio home. In addition to attending the Ohio Veterans Breakfast in Westerville and delivering remarks in South Russell Village, he also said: “The United States is the greatest force for good the world has ever known. We’re truly exceptional not only because of our ideals, but also due to the fact that generations of courageous patriots were willing to answer the call to defend them.”
Nancy Pelosi and Tim Ryan held the targeted federal infrastructure package hostage in the U.S. House for 86 days. This week, they finally relented. The vital legislation, which was negotiated by Senator Rob Portman, was opposed by every other Republican candidate for U.S. Senate. Contrary to their false assertions, the package is paid for, doesn’t raise taxes and will likely help to combat inflation. Most importantly, it will bring thousands of jobs to our state along with long-overdue improvements to Ohio roads, bridges, rail, ports, electric grid and even broadband capabilities. After commending Senator Portman for his work on the package, Matt Dolan called upon Congress to stop Tim Ryan’s separate, radical and far-left “Build Back Broke” spending and tax agenda. You can read more about the much-needed funding coming to Ohio in today’s Columbus Dispatch.
❌att was in Colu❌bus at the Ohio State University this week to speak with the Ohio State College Republicans. The OCUCR’s knocked on doors and ❌ade calls to help elect Republicans in Franklin County and across central Ohio this fall. They truly are the pre❌ier party on campus!
Last weekend was huge for sports in the Queen City. Matt paid homage to the Cincinnati Bearcats for hosting their first ESPN College Gameday and their win over Tulsa! Sunday, all Ohioans witnessed the 96th “Battle of Ohio.” The Browns got the best of the Bengals but the two teams will clash again on the shores of Lake Erie on January 9th.
We are always looking to add people to our Dolan For Ohio team. If you want to get involved, click here to learn more.
Have a great weekend!
