Matt Dolan Statement on “Reckless and Irresponsible Build Back Better Act”

Chagrin Falls, OH – Conservative Republican Matt Dolan today released the following statement following U.S. House passage of the Build Back Better Act.

“The reckless and irresponsible Build Back Better Act is bad for our country and bad for Ohio. This bill taxes too much, spends too much, balloons the national debt and will explode the present inflation crisis that is already restricting economic growth and crushing Ohio families and businesses. Bloated federal spending bills such as this make it clear to the American people that not only must Republicans reclaim the Senate, but that voters must elect leaders with a proven record of conservative success when it comes to cutting taxes, reducing regulation and balancing budgets.”

Matt Dolan is the only Republican in the race for U.S. Senate in Ohio currently holding elected office. As the chairman of the Finance Committee in the Ohio State Senate, he has played an instrumental role in passing legally mandated balanced state budgets that have repeatedly cut income taxes. The Ohio Republican Party referred to Dolan’s most recent state budget as “the most conservative budget in Ohio Legislative history.”
