Obamacare was conceived wrongly, implemented poorly and has become a tool of partisan grift. I will always fight for commonsense healthcare policies that will help control costs, expand access and improve the quality of care.

  • Dolan sponsored the pharmacy provider status bill to lower care costs.
  • Dolan has spearheaded efforts in the State Legislature to address surprise medical billing and healthcare transparency costs.
  • Dolan voted to enhance telemedicine in Ohio to improve access to care in rural and underserved areas.
  • Dolan was named Healthcare Information Technology Legislator of the Year in 2019.
  • Dolan was named Elected Official of the Year by the Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging in 2019.
  • Dolan was awarded the Public Children Services Association of Ohio Legislator of the Year award in 2021.
  • Dolan co-sponsored to promote life-saving organ donations in Ohio.
  • Dolan voted to modernize the athletic training practice with the aim of stabilizing health care costs in the field of pain management and to better serve Ohio’s student athletes.
  • Dolan voted for Ohio to join occupational licensing standards with other states to expand economic opportunity for certain Ohio license holders, increase workforce and improve access to care for Ohio’s patients.
  • Dolan co-sponsored a bill to expand telehealth services in Ohio – aimed to lower healthcare costs, expand access to care and to streamline delivery of care.
  • Dolan co-sponsored legislation to cut down on senior abuse by allowing guardians and families of loved ones in residential care facilities to place cameras in care rooms.
  • Dolan co-sponsored the Ohio Task Force on Alzheimer’s Disease to develop a state action for the over 220,000 Ohioans currently living with the disease and to help support their loved ones and caregivers.
  • Dolan was recognized as the Easterseals Ray of Hope Award in 2021 for his work to help improve the lives of people with disabilities, their families, and veterans across Ohio.
